2026 POSITION NOMINATIONS

            Nominations for positions on the Washington/Oregon Processed Pear Committee will take place during an industry public meeting as follows:

            Dec. 2, 2025 – Columbia Gorge Fruit Growers Assn. annual grower/handler meeting, 11:30 a.m., Pine Grove Grange, 2835 Van Horn Drive, Hood River, OR. –

Oregon Grower positions currently held by Member Adam McCarthy and First Alternate Kevin Zielinski 

            Dec. 8, 2025 – Washington State Tree Fruit Assn. Annual Meeting, Wenatchee Convention Center, Wenatchee, WA

Washington Grower #1 position currently held by Greg Harnden and Alternate Andrew Sundquist

Washington Handler #1 positions currently held by Rod Matson and Alternate Peter Verbrugge   

            TBD 2026 – Pacific Northwest Canned Pears Service Annual Meeting, W.L. Hansen Building, Yakima, WA. –

Washington/Oregon Processor #2 positions currently held by Member Steve Carlson and First Alternate Vacant.

Washington/Oregon Processor #3 positions currently held by Member Andy Russick and First Alternate Richard “Rich” Baldoz

            Positions to the Processed Pear Committee are each 2-year terms beginning July 1, 2026, and expiring June 30, 2028. 

            The Processed Pear Committee was established to administer federal marketing order provisions relating to the handling of pears for processing.
